Among the steps taken to combat Delhi air pollution is WFH for 50% of government employees and the closure of primary schools.

Primary schools in Delhi will be close beginning Saturday as air quality worsens. CM Arvind Kejriwal announced at a press conference on Friday. Outdoor activities would be restrict for secondary school students. This comes just a day after schools in Noida, a neighbouring city, was told to hold online classes until November 8.

After a briefing, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai stated that 50% of government employees would work from home. Gopal Rai note that a similar warning had been issue for private offices. He said that trucks, except those carrying essential services, are already barred from entering the city.

He stated that a 6-member team of senior officials had been formed to monitor the implementation of the anti-polluting exercise curbs.

Revenue commissioners have been ask to prepare a plan for stagger timings of markets also offices.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government is also considering reintroducing odd-even traffic rationing for vehicles in the national capital, due to Kejriwal early in the day. “We are do all we can to control the pollution. Meanwhile, we are closing all primary schools in Delhi advent tomorrow until the situation improves. According to the Delhi Chief Minister, outdoor activities for all classes above Class 5 would also be prohibite.

During his briefing, Kejriwal also address the concerns of BJP leader Adesh Kumar Gupta. “I noticed he was talking about his grandson this morning. I want to comfort him that his grandson is same to mine. We will bring immediate action, “He was adamant. “We will make every effort to ensure that no children face any health-related problems,” he said.

During , the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has expressed concern about rise air pollution in the Delhi-NCR region.
