CJP’s Abhijeet Dipke Launches School Thik Karo Campaign

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) convenor Abhijeet Dipke kicked off his “School Thik Karo” campaign from Hingoli in Maharashtra on Saturday, timing the launch with the 80th anniversary of Indian Independence. The initiative aims to draw attention to the poor state of government-run schools across the country and push local authorities into fixing basic infrastructure gaps.

First Audit Highlights Infrastructure Gaps

Dipke began the campaign by personally auditing a school in his native village of Santuk Pimpri, sharing a video of the visit on X. He pointed out that even after eight decades of independence, many government schools still lack essential amenities such as reliable electricity, clean drinking water, functional toilets, and proper mid-day meal arrangements. He said he had spoken with his village Sarpanch, who assured him the Panchayat would address the issues within a week, and stressed that meaningful change is possible when communities come together to act.

Campaign Calls Out Political Neglect

Speaking to reporters before leaving for the audit, Dipke took aim at political parties across the spectrum, arguing that none had done enough to improve school infrastructure regardless of which government was in power. He said public awareness around education has grown and that citizens now have the ability to hold authorities accountable by asking pointed questions. He also questioned why funds are often channelled into political rallies instead of being invested in rural school infrastructure, insisting that children’s education ought to be the priority.

Through the campaign, Dipke is encouraging parents and sarpanches nationwide to conduct their own social audits of nearby government schools, checking for the same basic facilities and publicly reporting any shortfalls so they can be addressed by local bodies.
