Delhi CM attacks China:

On Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a sly dig at China as he said that India is fighting two wars against China. He explained, saying,” One (war) is at the border and another against the virus from China“. Kejriwal said that just like the Indian Army did not back down, Indians will also not retreat and win both the wars. The AAP Chief informed the media that testing of the virus has been tripled in the national capital and daily over 18000 tests are being conducted.

The statement comes after Delhi witnessed a massive surge of Covid-19 infections in the Unlock 1.0 phase and had to be given instructions by The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to contain the virus. The ministry asked the Delhi government to delineate all containment zones afresh and adhere to the instructions provided to them. Delhi reported fresh 3000 cases on Monday which took the national capital’s tally to 59,746 infections. Delhi is catching up Mumbai’s tally of 66,500 very fast.

World Health Organization (WHO) on Sunday registered more than 183,000 new cases in the biggest single-day rise in Coronavirus infections worldwide. Over 8.92 million people have been infected and more than 467,000 are dead due to the virus.
