BMW’s CEO Oliver Zipse takes another report at Tesla

Tesla electric vehicles, according to BMW’s CEO Oliver Zipse, do not belong in the luxury segment.

Most other automakers seek to either enter the electric car area or make a big splash with their product(s) here, and Tesla is the primary target. It’s no surprise, then, that many of these companies have said that Tesla EVs aren’t perfect and that their products ought to be purchased instead.

BMW is one of the competitors, and BMW’s CEO Oliver Zipse has once again bared his teeth at the US-based EV behemoth, claiming quality and reliability difficulties.

According to Bloomberg, Zipse categorically stated the differences between BMW EVs and Tesla vehicles. “According to reports, he mentioned this at a Handelsblatt conference. “When it comes to client pleasure, we have different goals. Zipse went on to say that Tesla’s surge is due to the company’s price decreases. And that comparing Tesla and BMW products isn’t necessarily fair. “Tesla isn’t yet in the premium category.”

Even though BMW recently revealed two electric vehicles, the i4 sedan, and the iX SUV. Tesla goods continue to lead the global market and by a significant margin. While Zipse mentioned Tesla’s price savings and customer happiness, recent accolades for Elon Musk’s company tell a different story.

Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y costs have recently increased. Tesla also topped Consumer Reports’ satisfaction survey in 2021 while being one point behind BMW in the American Customer Satisfaction Index. On the other hand, Zipse differs, previously indicating that Tesla’s growth rate would be unsustainable. On the other hand, his viewpoints are radically different from those of other prominent automakers’ executives.

For example, VW Group CEO Herbert Diess has praised Tesla and Musk for paving the path for electric vehicles worldwide. Likewise, Jim Farley, the CEO of Ford, has acknowledged this.
