The film Gadar 2 is smashing box office records in Bollywood. The Sunny Deol-starrer has also done exceptionally well in its second week. Gadar 2 has already amassed the largest second-weekend haul in Bollywood history.
Gadar 2 breaks Baahubali 2 records:
The film grossed 90.47 crore in three days during its second weekend, from Friday to Sunday. For many years, Tollywood hero Prabhas held this record. Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 made Indian box office history by earning Rs. 80.75 crore in its second weekend.
Dangal (73.70 crores) by Aamir Khan is third on the list of films with the highest second-weekend collections, while Pathan (63.50 crores) by Shah Rukh Khan is fourth. Sanju (62.97 crores) is in fifth place.
Gadar 2 created a sensation on Sunday (August 20) with over 41 crores in revenues. The movie, released on August 11, made 375 crore in 10 days globally. Gadar 2 is a follow-up to the 2001 film Gadar Ek Prem Katha.

Sunny Deol and Utkarsh Sharma played the lead roles in this film. Ameesha Patel and Simrat Kaur played the heroines. The movie was directed by Anil Sharma, who also produced it. This film had an estimated budget of Rs. 80 crore.
“I was quite stressed before the movie’s release,” Sunny remarked, his initial reaction to seeing the audience’s affection for Gadar 2. I spent the entire night crying and laughing when the film was released. My father was nearby and noticed me. ‘I haven’t had any drink,’ I assured him. “Main khush aa main ki kara (I am content, what can I do).”
