Nitish Bharadwaj and his wife file for divorce: ‘When a family breaks down, it is the children who suffer the most.’

On Tuesday, Nitish Bharadwaj, who plays Krishna in Mahabharat, announced that he has filed for divorce from his wife, Smita. The couple has twin daughters who live in Indore with their mother.

After 12 years of marriage, actor Nitish Bharadwaj has filed for divorce from his wife, Smita.

They divorced in September 2019, and his ex-wife, an IAS officer, is now living in Indore with their twin daughters. In a recent interview, Nitish discussed the situation, saying that “divorce can be more painful than death” at times.

Krishna in Mahabharat stated that the case has been filed in Mumbai’s Family Court and that he does not wish to discuss the reasons for the divorce. “All I can say is that divorce can sometimes be more painful than death because you live with an amputated core,” he told the Bombay Times.

Nitish and Smita had previously married. Their respective relationships also ended on a sad note. But the Mahabharat actor hasn’t become cynical about marriage as a result.
