Carrer with ups and downs:
Pujara’s career has seen ups and downs. Majorly, his downtime came in the last 3years as his average came down to 30. His contribution was still better than Virat Kohli’s and many other team members. But his age and fitness are putting a question mark on his career.
The indvsEng test series starts on 25th Jan. Kohli is unavailable for two tests; everyone thought the current Ranji form of Pujara would help him make a comeback. But the selectors made a different call, and they went for Patidar, a young talent of India.
Poor form of Virat Kohli reason behind Rahane and Pujara’s career end:

In the starting, Pujara was compared with an original wall of India in the test Rahul Dravid. But if you see, he only played sometimes like Dravid. If you know the level of bowlers Dravid played, Pujara didn’t face half of that quality bowler; still, his average remains below 48 in test matches.
England tour of India 2024:
The first test match starts on 25th Jan 2024 in Hyderabad. England’s team is playing excellent cricket in test matches. They have experience and power players who can play well in any situation. But to defeat India in India, they have to play next-level cricket. They need the magic of Stokes and Root to help them win in India. Stokes’ form is now going down, and he may not play all 5 test matches. It gives slight age comparing teams.

The magic of two spinners in India has been fabulous. They have won most of the matches for India in India. With Bumrah Shami Siraj, the team becomes even more vital. Only concern is batting. India needs Rohit Sharma to play big innings as Gill’s form needs to be better, and there is no other player than KlRahul experienced to play England. The entire focus in batting will be on Rohit and KLRahul. It was an excellent opportunity for Jaiswal and a few youngsters to cement their place in the test team.
