More than 60 killed in Pakistan’s mosque bomb blast, see horrible photos

The death count in recent Pakistan’s mosque bomb blast has crossed the 60 mark, where more than 157 were injured.

As per the statement by Peshawar Police Chief Mohammad Aijaz Khan, the fatal bomb blast in Peshawar’s mosque on Monday killed around 61 and left 157 with serious injuries.  

The rescue operation started in the mosque, where law enforcement officials mostly conduct.

Further, Khan stated that the incident inside the Police Lines Mosque was “probably a suicide attack,” citing the PM of Pakistan to restore law and order.

PM Sharif stated that “The brutal killing of Muslims prostrating before Allah is against the teachings of the Quran,” “as the attackers targeted the house of Allah is proof that they have nothing to do with Islam.

The PM stated that they want to create fear by targeting those who obey their duty of defending the nation.

A “comprehensive strategy” will be set up in Peshawar to restore law and order, said the PM to restore law and order.

No involvement of the Taliban in blast:

Muhammad Khorasani, the spoke person of the Pakistani Taliban, mainly known as Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP), denied any involvement in the attack.

Muhammad Khorasan stated regarding the Peshawar incident; it is necessary to clarify that there is no involvement of the Taliban in this attack.  

As per our law and constitution, any action in madrasas, funerals grounds, mosques, and other holy places is an offence. 

TTP is a US-designated terrorist organization operating in both Pakistan and Afghanistan.

PM Sharif travelled to Peshawar after the deadly blast and also visited Lady Reading Hospital to meet those wounded, his office stated.
