Price of gas cylinders: The prices of LPG cylinders are forecast to be updated by oil marketing firms on Monday. During the month of January, there has been no price rise. These rates are set on the first day of every month.

PNB to modify ATM withdrawals rules: As of February 1, the Punjab National Bank (PNB) is amending its ATM withdrawals rules. PNB, one of the biggest public sector banks in the nation, has said it will limit both financial and non-financial transactions through non-EMV ATM systems as of Monday. To stop ATM cheating, the bank has agreed to enforce this move.

E-catering service resumption: As Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) stated through an announcement on Friday that as of February 1, Mint reported, it would resume its e-catering facilities at 62 stations.

 In the first step, the corporation will resume e-catering facilities at a specified number of stations (62 stations) w.e.f. on 1 February 2021,’ the IRCTC says in the release.

New Covid-19 SOPs: Updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of Covid-19 behaviour have been issued by the government, which would be effective from February 1. The government has made it possible for everybody to open a swimming pool and also has allowed 100% seating capacity in movie theatres.

It has so far been restricted to a maximum of 50 per cent of the capacity of the hall. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has also urged the Civil Aviation Ministry, in consultation with that too, to further opening up international air travel by releasing new containment as well as surveillance regulations.
