As per the fact paper by Bharat Biotech: 

According to the fact paper published on the website of Bharat Biotech, if an individual has allergies, fever, or bleeding problems or is on a blood thinner, it is recommended not to have the vaccine.

It also claimed that women who are pregnant and breastfeeding should stop taking Covaxin as well. The company said that those who are immune-compromised or on medicines that damage the immune system and those who have acquired another Covid-19 vaccine should also not get the medication from Bharat Biotech.

So, who are all candidates for Covaxin shots, then? Bharat Biotech’s fact sheet states that CDSCO has approved the restricted use of all the vaccines in the clinical trial phase.

Covaxin is given as an injection into the upper arm’s deltoid muscle. Bharat Biotech also said that it is a two-dose series provided four weeks apart.
