Who is main culprit of Manipur, Viral video culprit house BURNT!

The accused of the Manipur viral video has been arrested, and the culprit house burnt by the local ladies. 

As the country rages over a video showing two women being paraded naked by a mob in Manipur, miscreants set fire to the residence of the main offender, Huirem Herodas Meitei, on Thursday.

The video shows a group of people, mainly women, setting fire to the man’s residence.

On Wednesday, a video showed women from one of Manipur’s warring clans being paraded naked by a mob from the opposing side in Kangpokpi district. It quickly went viral.

The incident occurred in a village in Kangpokpi district a day after ethnic unrest erupted in the northeastern state on May 3. However, the horrifying footage appeared two months later and quickly went viral after the internet ban was lifted.

Taking note of the footage, the Manipur Police launched a complaint of kidnapping, gang rape, and murder in Thoubal district on Wednesday night against unidentified males.

Four persons have been arrested about the event.

On Thursday, Chief Minister N Biren Singh stated that a thorough inquiry had begun and that they would seek execution punishment if possible.

More than 150 people have been killed, and countless others have been injured since ethnic violence erupted in Manipur on May 3, when a ‘Tribal Solidarity March’ was arranged in the hill areas to oppose the Meitei community’s desire for Scheduled Tribe (ST) designation.

Meiteis make up around 53% of the state’s population and dwell primarily in the Imphal Valley, while tribals, including Nagas and Kukis, make up 40% and live primarily in the hill regions.
