Google has released the Nearby Share feature for Chromebooks as part of Chrome OS 103.

Google has announced the availability of Chrome OS 103 for Android and Chrome OS Beta 104. The Chrome OS 103 update adds on your phone’s camera as a row of four recent photos to the Phone Hub. It also includes the Nearby Share feature, allowing Chromebooks to receive Android Wi-Fi credentials. Meanwhile, Region Capture for desktops is being add to Chrome OS Beta 104. It will allow users to crop their video tracks. The update also includes new Media Queries Level 4 Syntax and Evaluation.

Google has declared the release of Chrome OS 103, including several new features. Chrome OS 103 adds on a user’s phone’s camera roll to the Phone Hub as a row of 4 recent photos, including screenshots. When you tap on an image, it begins downloading and is save in the Downloads folder for editing and uploading. This feature will also work when you are not connected to the internet.

On Chromebooks, Google has also added the Nearby Share feature. In addition, chromebooks will now receive Wi-Fi credentials from Android, thanks to this feature. Google claims that this update will make sharing ten times faster.

Finally, Chrome OS 103 includes a new screenshot application designed for teachers’ convenience.

Google has also announced the release of Chrome OS 104. Region Capture, also Media Queries Level 4 Syntax, Origin Trials, also other features are include in the beta version of Chrome OS 104. Chrome on desktop will allow users to crop self-captured video recordings with Region Caption. Web applications that support Region Capture can cut a recording and remove the content before remotely sharing it.

The syntax for various queries is include in Media Queries Level 4 Syntax and Evaluation. These can now be write using standard mathematical comparison operators. Logical operators are also supported. Origin Trials are also included in Chrome OS Beta 104.
