Arshdeep Singh’s All-Time XI: Ashwin Fifth, Apology Included

Punjab Kings pacer Arshdeep Singh has opened up on his all-time favourites in Indian cricket, naming Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the greatest bowler on his list and also revealing a dream playing XI spanning generations. Speaking on Krishnank Atrey’s YouTube channel, Arshdeep admitted his admiration for Bhuvneshwar comes with a personal bias, ranking him above Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin.

Kuldeep and Chahal Earn Praise

Arshdeep placed Kuldeep Yadav third on his list, pointing to the rarity of his left-arm wrist-spin variety, while his Punjab Kings teammate Yuzvendra Chahal took the fourth spot for his consistent wicket-taking. Ravichandran Ashwin rounded out the top five, with Arshdeep joking that the veteran off-spinner simply ran out of higher positions, before adding a light-hearted apology for the ranking, given Ashwin had once captained him at Punjab Kings in the IPL.

A Star-Studded All-Time XI

Beyond his bowling rankings, Arshdeep also unveiled his dream all-time India XI across formats. He picked Sachin Tendulkar and current head coach Gautam Gambhir to open the innings, followed by Rahul Dravid at number three and Virat Kohli at four. Yuvraj Singh and Rohit Sharma filled the middle order, with MS Dhoni named as wicketkeeper-batter at number seven.
