Gapphar Ahmad Kacchawa, an autorickshaw driver,
lodged an FIR against two men, who allegedly abused and assaulted him for not
saying “Modi Zindabad” and “Jai Shree Ram”.
On Friday, Police in Sikar
district of Rajasthan arrested two people for allegedly assaulting
and abusing a 52-year old autorickshaw driver after his denial to chant “Jai Shree Ram” and “Modi Zindabad”. An FIR was lodged by Gapphar Ahmad Kacchawa, who
also claimed that the accused duo stole his money and wristwatch. According to
the police, Kacchawa had bruises on his cheek, broken teeth, and a swollen eye,
and that the two accused were arrested.
Autorickshaw driver was beaten

Kacchawa’s nephew Shahid stated that around 4 am on Friday, his uncle was returning from a nearby village, where he had gone to drop off passengers when two men who were in a car stopped him asked for tobacco. Kacchawa gave them the tobacco but they refused to take it and asked him to say Modi Zindabad. On denying to do so, Kacchawa was slapped and abused, prompting him to flee the scene with his vehicle. The duo chased him and stopped his vehicle near Jagmalpura. The men forced him to get out of the vehicle and then assaulted him. They badly beat the autorickshaw driver and forced him to chant “Jai Shree Ram” and “Modi Zindabad”.

Kacchawa in his FIR has stated
that both the men pulled his beard, kicked, and punched him, which resulted in
the breaking of his 2-3 teeth. Kacchawa got a swollen left eye, bruised cheek,
and head and was assaulted by a stick. Post the beatdown; the men said that
they will only rest after sending him to Pakistan. Police stated that the two
accused, Shambhudayal Jat, 35, and Rajendra Jat, 30, were arrested yesterday
and preliminary investigation revealed that the two men were consuming alcohol
when they stopped Kacchawa following which they misbehaved and assaulted him.
Kacchawa is now being treated
at a government hospital in Sikar.
