Cricket Schedule 2026: Packed International Calendar Resumes After IPL

With Royal Challengers Bangalore successfully defending their title against Gujarat Titans, the focus now shifts back to the international arena. Elite cricketers are returning to national duties for an action-packed Cricket Schedule 2026 that spans across all three formats.

The post-IPL madness kicks off immediately with New Zealand’s tour of England for a three-match Test series. Meanwhile, the Indian men’s team faces a relentless calendar with almost zero breathing room, starting their campaign at home.

India’s Jam-Packed Bilateral Run

The Men in Blue begin their international summer on June 6 against Afghanistan, featuring a lone Test and three ODIs. Following this, India will embark on a quick tour of Ireland for two T20Is before heading to England for a high-octane white-ball series consisting of five T20Is and three ODIs.

The grueling schedule continues into the later half of the year. India will fly to Zimbabwe in late July for three T20Is, followed by crucial home series against the West Indies and Sri Lanka, ensuring Indian cricket fans remain entertained well into the winter.

Women’s Cricket and Global Clashes

It is not just the men’s circuit keeping fans hooked. Women’s cricket takes center stage with the highly anticipated Women’s T20 World Cup, scheduled from June 12 to July 5. Following the mega event, the India Women’s team will host Zimbabwe in October for six white-ball matches before flying to South Africa in December for a multi-format tour, including a rare Test match.

Globally, rivalries like the England tour of Australia and South Africa’s Test summer against Pakistan and Bangladesh promise high stakes. Alongside these bilaterals, marquee franchise leagues like The Hundred, MLC, and CPL will run parallel, making 2026 a blockbuster year for cricket enthusiasts worldwide.
