Justice Prateek Jalan ordered CBSE to represent a petition via Deepa Joseph, mom of a Class 10 scholar reading in a CBSE affiliated school here, who had paid ₹2,100 as examination charge.

CBSE’s selection could be open to task if Joseph isn’t pleased, the court docket clarified as it disposed of the petition.

There has to be reasonableness on each side, the choice added.

Justice Jalan also noted that the parties had no objection to hearing the petition even though he might be the beneficiary of the petition due to his son being in Class 12.

For Joseph, advocate Robin Raju contended that since the board exam was cancelled, as a minimum, some part of the exam costs must be refunded to the scholars.

Claiming that the expenditure incurred through CBSE to behaviour board exam and its position within the system had been decreased, Raju said that “schools were uploading the marks”.

The courtroom disagreed with Raju and remarked: “If CBSE isn’t doing something, you are taking the marks sheet from colleges and move”.

Advocate Rupesh Kumar submitted that CBSE changed into a self-financing frame. Its expenditure becomes principally funded with the aid of the exam prices collected from college students acting in magnificence ten and sophistication 12 board examination.

He added that there had been no direct correlation between the bodily behaviour of board examinations and charges expenses from college students.
