Check on Jarange’s Health Urged by Docs

The Bombay High Court granted permission for Civil Surgeon Jalna and his medical team to promptly evaluate the health of Manoj Jarange Patil, a Maratha quota activist on an indefinite hunger strike. This decision follows a plea against Jarange’s protest. The court emphasized the importance of preventing his health from deteriorating.

ED Assures No Coercive Action Against Wankhede

The Enforcement Directorate assured the Bombay High Court that it won’t take coercive measures against former NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede until February 20 in a money laundering case. This assurance came during Wankhede’s plea hearing against the ED case. The court scheduled the next hearing for February 20.

HC Directs ATS to Investigate Pansare Case

In response to a plea by the family of deceased activist Govind Pansare, the Bombay High Court instructed the Maharashtra ATS to investigate claims that Pansare was killed because of his book “Shivaji Kon Hota” (Who was Shivaji). The family seeks a court-monitored probe into Pansare’s death, alleging he was targeted for his views expressed in the book.
