Shashi Tharoor gives ‘cheap publicity’ tag to The Vaccine War

Shashi Tharoor gives ‘cheap publicity’ tag to The Vaccine War

A day before the official release of Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War in India, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor remarked in a recent interview that the director’s accusation of Tharoor advocating foreign vaccines was a cheap publicity stunt.

Tharoor, who stated that he would seek legal opinion on the matter, stated that it is troubling because some people will begin to believe if a lie is repeated enough times.

“It’s a cheap publicity stunt, but the fear is that if a lie is repeated enough, some people will begin to believe it.” “I’m looking for legal advice,” Shashi Tharoor explained.

Vivek Agnihotri takes a dig:

The viral video shows Vivek Agnihotri saying that while celebrities are free to accept money and promote products, people in positions of power should not.

Then came the names of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor. “It’s not a problem if a right-wing person promotes Jawaan for money.”

He’s only trying to make some money. Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Virat Kohli endorse items they have never used and will never use. That is a business trade-off.

“However, people holding Constitutional positions and accepting money to promote something detrimental to the country’s interests is very concerning,” Vivek Agnihotri said.

“Chief Minister of Delhi, Shashi Tharoor sahab,” Vivek Agnihotri remarked, adding that he is not making accusations but simply telling the facts. “We showed everything in the film.”

Certain aspects are veiled in the Indian version because we cannot reveal them, but they are present in the version released abroad,” Vivek Agnihotri explained.

All about the movie The Vaccine War:

Agnihotri’s upcoming film is about India’s vaccine journey. In the final few days of promotion, the director conveyed the message, carried by the film, that a large gang of people was trying to bring foreign vaccines because they believed India couldn’t come up with its vaccine against COVID-19.

“I have focused primarily on India’s victory, how India is transforming into a great nation, how India has become self-sufficient, and how India’s science is poised to lead the world.”

More than that, I wanted people to know who your adversaries are. If you want to know who India’s opponents are, who is attempting to sell India, the vaccine battle will provide the answer,” Agnihotri said in an interview.
