Bapu’s body was brought to Rajkot Ranchhoddas Ashram from Gondal yesterday. His body had recently reached the banks of Narmada, where a large number of his devotees, including Gurubhais, have gathered at Gora Ashram for the final darshan. His body was cremated at the hands of Bapu’s successor Jeramdas Maharaj.

Haricharandasji The original name of Bapu, a native of Bihar,

was Harishchandra Misraj. He was born in 1921 on the day of Chaitra Sud 6 in Panjrawa, Bihar. Then in 1955, on the orders of Gurudev Ranchoddasji, he started managing the ashram in Gondal. He has been serving here for the last 70 years. At the young age of 34, Bapu took over the ashram management. His Guruji was performing bhajan on the banks of river Saryu in the presence of Sadguru Dev Ranchoddasji Maharaj.

He did many service works. While living in

Gondal, Bapu did many service works in which Ramji temple was built in Gondal. Later, Ram also set up a public hospital. Pandukeshwar, Rishikesh, Indore, Karnaprayag, Benaras, Gora Narmada shores lit the flames of sadhana-bhajan and human service.

Haricharandasji’s Sevayagni Forum is not only Gondal but has crossed the borders of Gujarat.

Bapu’s illness of respiratory and infection

Doctors there told him to undergo surgery due to an injury to part of Thapa during the preliminary examination. He was later treated at a hospital in Rajkot.
