Vijay Sethupathi Clarifies Bigg Boss Tamil 10 Leadership Remarks

Actor Vijay Sethupathi has responded to online speculation about his leadership-related comments on Bigg Boss Tamil 10, saying his words were intended only for the contestants inside the house. The clarification comes after some social media users linked his remarks to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay.

The discussion began during the weekend episode, when Sethupathi questioned contestant Shathiga about promises, responsibility and leadership. In a recent promo, the actor-host explained that opinions shared on the Bigg Boss stage are strictly between him and the housemates and do not refer to any person or organisation outside the show. He added that he assumed viewers would understand this without being told, and admitted he should have clarified it last week.

Warm Words for Vijay and Jason Sanjay

Interestingly, Sethupathi spoke fondly of Vijay at the audio launch of his upcoming film ‘Baththa’ in Chennai. He recalled that Vijay personally called to thank him after he wished Vijay’s son, Jason Sanjay, on his birthday, and he spoke affectionately about the young filmmaker. Sethupathi also said he had visited the sets of Jason Sanjay’s upcoming film ‘Sigma’ and spent time with him there.

‘Baththa’ Set for October 1 Release

Directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, ‘Baththa’ reunites the filmmaker with Sethupathi after ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom’ and ‘Seethakaathi’. Atlee is among the producers, and Sai Abhyankkar has composed the music. The film releases in theatres worldwide on October 1.

With the clarification out and the release date approaching, Sethupathi’s public appearances and his new film are likely to stay in focus in the coming days.
