Following Virat Kohli’s resignation as Test captain of the Indian cricket team, several Bollywood celebrities praised him for his accomplishments.
On Saturday, Virat announced his decision in a statement posted on his social media accounts. Today, Anushka Sharma shared a lengthy message for her cricketer husband.
She wrote, “Sharing pictures of Virat and me.” “I recall the day in 2014 when you informed me that you had been appointed captain because MS had decided to retire from test cricket.” Later that day, MS, you, and I talked, and he was joking about how quickly your beard will turn grey. Of course, we all laughed a lot about it. But, I’ve noticed more than just your beard turning grey since that day.
I’ve seen progress. Massive expansion. Within you and all around you.
And, yes, I am very scornful of your development as the captain of the Indian National Cricket team and the team’s achievements under your leadership. But I’m more proud of the personal growth you’ve achieved.”
She went on to recall Virat’s early days in cricket, writing, “We were so young and naive in 2014. But, believing that good intention, positive drive, and motives will get you ahead in life. They most certainly do, but not without difficulty. Anushka went on to say encouraging things, writing, “As I previously stated, those who attempted to learn more about you than meets the eye are truly blessed.
You are not perfect and have flaws, but when was the last time you tried to hide them? What you did was always stand up for doing the right thing, even if it was the hardest thing! With greed, you clung to nothing, not even this position, and I know that. Because when one holds on so tightly to something, they limit themselves, whereas you, my love, are limitless. Our daughter will see the maturation of these seven years in the father figure that you are to her. You did well.”
