BCCI Selectors Reluctant to Hand Out Test Caps for Afghanistan Match

India’s selection committee, led by Ajit Agarkar, is treading carefully ahead of the one-off Test against Afghanistan scheduled to begin on June 6 at Mullanpur. Anshul Kamboj, Gurnoor Brar, and Nitish Kumar Reddy — whose pace has visibly improved — are also on the BCCI’s radar, with workload data from the IPL factoring into final decisions.

With the IPL concluding on May 31, selectors have a narrow window to assess fitness and form before naming their squad.
