CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke Receives Death Threats After Party Goes Viral

Abhijeet Dipke, the Boston University student who founded the satirical Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has received alarming death threats via WhatsApp, warning him to shut down his account or face deadly consequences. Dipke shared screenshots on X, revealing messages that read: “We will give you money to shut down the account of Cockroach Janta Party. Otherwise, we’ll get you killed even in the US.” The threats also claimed that his phone number had been obtained and that his home address would soon follow.

Family Gripped by Fear

Dipke’s parents, Bhagwan and Anita Dipke, who reside in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, have expressed deep anxiety over their son’s rising political profile. His father admitted to losing sleep over the situation, while his mother stated she would not support his continuation in politics and simply wants him home safely. They first learned of his viral fame through neighbours and relatives.

From Courtroom Remark to 20 Million Followers

The CJP was born out of remarks attributed to Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, who allegedly likened unemployed youth to “cockroaches.” Dipke launched the satirical campaign in response, and it rapidly exploded to over 20 million Instagram followers. The movement soon attracted regulatory attention, with CJP’s X account being withheld in India following a legal request. Multiple hacking attempts on Dipke’s personal Instagram account were also reported. The Chief Justice later clarified his comments were directed at individuals entering professions with fraudulent degrees.
