However, it was unclear whether the Pixel 7-series phones would be officially release in India. Given that Google hasn’t recently released a flagship Pixel phone in the country, instead opting only to make the less expensive a-series phones available.
However, it has now been affirm that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be available in India. A new microsite on Flipkart India has shared a ‘coming soon’ poster of both new Pixels 7 phones. Implying that the phones will be available in India next month, likely concurrently with the global launch.
What can we expect from the Pixel 7 series?
Google has chosen a similar design for the new Pixel 7 series, with a raised camera visor bar laying horizontally across the top of the phone, similar to the Pixel 6 series. In contrast to the all-black bars on the Pixel 6 series, the bar now has a metallic finish, making the cameras stand out.
Both new Pixels are expected to be power by the new Tensor G2 chip. Which will be Google’s second in-house smartphone chip, succeeding the Tensor chip found in the Pixel 6-series. According to Google, the new hardware will offer “more helpful, personalised features to photos, videos, security, and speech recognition.”
Other expected features include 50MP cameras, Android 13 and 120Hz displays. Though Google will reveal more concrete details on October 6, the launch day.
