Rajinikanth was admitted to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai after feeling dizzy.

Superstar Rajnikanth was released from the hospital on Sunday after undergoing surgery. Rajinikanth’s daughter Sundarya accompanied him home, and he was greeted with an aarti ceremony by his wife, Lata Rajnikanth. Rajinikanth also shared a post on social media titled “Going Home” upon his return.

Rajinikanth was admitted to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai on Thursday, October 28. The hospital said he was being treated after suffering from dizziness. The actor underwent carotid artery revascularization and recovered in the hospital for several days. This procedure aims to remove plaque buildup from the carotid arteries to restore normal blood flow to the brain and prevent stroke when symptoms of decreased blood flow appear.

On the career front, Rajinikanth’s latest film is slated to feature Annaatthe Diwali. He also received the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 67th National Awards.

In addition, his son-in-law Dhanush won the Best Actor Award for Asuran.

Previously, in December 2020, the star was admitt to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad due to fluctuations in blood pressure and fatigue. The 2.0 star debuted in 1975 with K. Balachander’s “Apoorva Ragangal” and spent more than 45 years in the Tamil film industry.

The 70-year-old star has starred in South Indian and Bollywood films and has a considerable following. He presented such successful films as “Billu,” “Muthu,” “Baashha,” “Sivaji,” and “Enthiran.” Rajinikanth was last see in Darbar by AR Murugadoss. The Padma Bhushan awardee had carotid endarterectomy, which is a surgical treatment that eliminates plaque from the inside of a patient’s carotid artery to restore normal simple blood flow to the brain, according to a medical bulletin released by the Kauvery Hospital.
