Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift vs. competitors: price and specs comparison

Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift vs. competitors: price and specs comparison

Maruti Suzuki introduced the XL6 facelift just a few days after launching the updated Ertiga in our market.

This update brings a few cosmetic changes, more features, a new engine, and a new automatic gearbox to the Nexa XL6 MPV, only available through Nexa dealerships.

The facelifted Maruti Suzuki XL6 competes with other three-row MPVs. Like the Kia Carens, Hyundai Alcazar, Toyota Innova Crysta, and its sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. We compare the updated XL6 to its competitors in terms of specifications and price.

Maruti has introduced the XL6 in three trim levels, ranging from Rs 11.29 lakh to Rs 14.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Compared to its competitors. The XL6 is significantly more affordable than the Alcazar and Innova Crysta, both of which have start prices higher than the XL6’s top-spec version.

The Ertiga and Carens, on the other hand, have lower starting prices than the XL6. The Ertiga is the most affordable option here, and the XL6’s range begins where the Ertiga’s ends.

Though the Carens are less expensive on the lower end, it is significantly more costly than the XL6 on the upper back.

This is due to the Carens’ turbo-petrol engine and sophisticated dual-clutch auto gearbox, both of which are not available on the others. But, overall, the XL6’s prices appear to be quite competitive.

The Kia Carens have the most extended wheelbase. While the Hyundai Alcazar has the highest ground clearance and the giant tires. Meanwhile, the Innova Crysta is easily the largest overall. The Toyota is the longest, tallest, and widest bunch, but it has the bit ground clearance.

The inclusion of a new 1.5-liter DualJet petrol engine with start-stop technology. Which debuted on the refreshed Ertiga earlier this month, is perhaps the most significant change on the XL6. This engine has two injectors per cylinder, which gives it more control over fuel injection and, as a result, higher efficiency.
