Abhishek Bajaj: The Bollywood boycott trend is extremely regressive

Actor Abhishek Bajaj discusses the ongoing Bollywood boycott trend and how it affects the economy in the long run.

Actor Abhishek Bajaj has speak out against the ongoing Bollywood boycott. He describes it as a regressive approach that limits the opportunities for new and emerging talent in the industry.

“The whole boycotting Bollywood trend is unfortunate. It is extremely regressive. As a result, there will be no economic trickle-down because the money earned by the industry will eventually enter the economy. We’re losing that battle. “Rather than boycotting, I would encourage people to come forward and support the talent,” Bajaj says.

“Support actors like us, directors and producers who are new and want to prove their worth,” he continues. I really want people to back them up. Because we have no one but ourselves.

Only they can propel us forward.”

Recently, big Bollywood projects like Liger and Laal Singh Chadha have not received the expected response. Do you believe it was the result of a continuing trend? “I’m not sure whether such trends can affect the film business,” he says, “but I believe we need to revisit the scenario and figure out where we’re going wrong and how we can fix it.”

“When one person points out something, another notices it, and it grows.” I believe the audience wants to see new faces. They want to see new content and talent, and I think this is their perception… Instead of canceling, the hashtag should be “support the talent.” That will help us because, in the end, talent is what counts. If they support the talent, people will want to watch them, and Bollywood will regain its popularity,” he concludes.
