A Nigerian Passenger dies on the Delhi-Doha Indigo flight

IndiGo flight 6E-1736 flew from Delhi to Doha when diverted to Karachi.

A man onboard an IndiGo flight, which was diverted to Karachi owing to a medical condition, was reported dead on arrival by the airport medical crew.

Indigo flight passenger dies onboard: 

Airline’s administrators told news agency ANI that the man was on the IndiGo flight 6E-1736, operating from Delhi to Doha.

In a statement, the airline revealed that it was making arrangements for moving the flight’s other passengers in coordination with the appropriate authorities.

“The news extremely saddens us, and our prayers and wishes are with his family and beloved ones,” the comment said.

A Civil Aviation Authority representative in Karachi confirmed that a plane from an Indian airline was operating to Dubai from Delhi when a passenger’s health worsened mid-flight.

The pilot of the IndiGo plane aimed for emergency landing permission due to a medical emergency, which the Air Traffic Controller at the Karachi airport gave.

The dead has been identified as Abdullah, 60, a resident of Nigeria. According to a statement in Pakistan-based ARY News, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) medics and the National Institute of Health, Islamabad (NIH) issued the passengers’ demise certificates.
