Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has achieved a significant milestone in commissioning a 180 MW solar power plant in Devikot, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. 

The project substantially contributes to India’s renewable energy landscape and reinforces AGEL’s commitment to sustainable development.

Key Project Details by Adani Green Energy:

The solar power plant, equipped with next-generation bifacial solar PV modules and horizontal single-axis solar trackers (HSAT), harnesses cutting-edge technology to maximize energy generation efficiency. 

With a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) secured with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), the plant is poised to produce approximately 540 million electricity units annually.

Environmental Impact and Community Benefits:

AGEL’s Devikot solar plant is expected to power over 1.1 lakh homes and mitigate approximately 0.39 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. 

The deployment of waterless robotic module cleaning systems underscores AGEL’s commitment to environmental stewardship, facilitating water conservation in the arid region of Jaisalmer.

Operational Excellence by Adani Green Energy:

The plant boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure, including the Energy Network Operation Centre (ENOC), which leverages secure digital cloud platforms for real-time monitoring of renewable energy assets. 

AGEL’s emphasis on operational efficiency ensures enhanced performance and reliability across its renewable energy portfolio.

Expansion and Leadership in Renewable Energy:

With the commissioning of the Devikot solar plant, AGEL’s operational solar portfolio expands to an impressive 6,243 MW. 

The company’s total operational renewable generation capacity now stands at 9,784 MW, reaffirming its position as India’s largest renewable energy player.
