Chinchpokli Cha Chintamani, popularly known as Chinchpokli Ganesh Mandal, is one of Mumbai’s most well-known and revered Ganesh pandals. 

Like many other Ganesh pandals in Mumbai, it has a long history and plays an important role in the annual Ganesh Chaturthi festival. 

The history behind the Chinchpokli Cha Chintamani:

Chinchpokli Cha Chintamani is thought to have been founded in the late nineteenth century, around the year 1870. 

Residents of Mumbai’s Chinchpokli area created the Mandal. It began as a small community move to honour Ganesh Chaturthi enthusiastically and passionately.

Chinchpokli Cha Chintamani has grown in popularity and significance over the years. During the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, it is recognized for its lavish decorations, special themes, and grand events. 

Devotees from Chinchpokli and surrounding areas wait for the arrival of Lord Ganesha’s idol at the pandal, and the festival is widely celebrated.

Chintamani Aagman Sohala 2023:

Every year, there has been a grand Aagman ceremony of Chinchpoklicha Chintamani. In which several Ganesh devotees gather to welcome the Maha Ganpati of Mumbai. 

The welcome ceremony of Chintamani is also broadcasted live on several Youtube channels. 

There are only a few days left for the grand Ganpati festival, one of Maharashtra’s beloved festivals.
