Vinod Dua daughter Mallika Dua says his condition is ‘beyond critical.’

After a long battle with the Coronavirus, the 67-year-old journalist, Vinod Dua a pioneer in broadcast Hindi journalism with stints at Doordarshan and NDTV, lost his wife, radiologist Padmavati ‘Chinna’ Dua, in June.

Vinod Dua, a veteran journalist hospitalized with Covid earlier this year, is in the intensive care unit, and his condition is “beyond critical,” according to his daughter, actor-comic Mallika Dua.

“My Papaji is in critical condition in the intensive care unit. His health had been rapidly deteriorating since April. Dua is also unable to accept the loss of the light of his life. He has led an extraordinary life and has left us with the same.

He does not deserve to suffer. Vinod is adored and revered, and I ask that you all pray that he suffers as little as possible.” Mallika Dua penned the piece.

Vinod Dua also his wife were in a hospital in Gurgaon at the height of the second Covid wave. Since then, this journalist’s health has deteriorated, and he has been in and out of hospitals. Bakul Dua, a clinical psychologist, is the couple’s elder daughter.
