A 24-year-old woman was beaten, assaulted, and pulled outside a spa by the owner of Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, her business partner. 

The event on September 25 became public after a CCTV video became viral on social media.

Galaxy Spa owner Mohsin is shown brutally hitting a Northeast lady, his business partner, in the 4-minute-long video, even tearing her clothes apart. 

He was also spotted dragging her by her hair across a balcony on the spa grounds, where the assault occurred, according to India Today.

During interrogation, police discovered that she was Mohsin’s business partner. A disagreement between the two escalated into violence, and Mohsin battered and dragged the victim.

The investigation began on September 27 after the Ahmedabad Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Mohsin after the video went viral.

Former Tipra Motha leader shared the video:

Tripura politician Pradyot Debbarma, a former Tipra Motha leader, uploaded the video and condemned the assault on a woman from the northeast. 

“This footage is dreadful. It is unacceptable to see any woman, let alone one from our region, humiliated in this manner. “I hope @AhmedabadPolice takes notice and acts against these men,” he tweeted.

According to India Today, the woman did not register a complaint against Mohsin until two days after the incident occurred. 

However, she filed a case against the accused after the Bodakdev police contacted her through a social worker and counseled her.
