Gauri Khan redesigns Farah Khan’s family room
‘I used to live in Lokhandwala, and now I live in Italy.’
Farah Khan, a filmmaker, and choreographer was blown away by her friend Gauri Khan’s abilities.
Farah Khan was the most recent guest on the home decor show Dream Homes with Gauri Khan. Where the choreographer-turned-director asked Shah Rukh Khan’s wife and interior designer Gauri Khan to renovate the house’s family room.
Farah’s family room was initially very colorful and cluttered.
On the other hand, Gauri transformed the space into an entertainment area by removing clutter, adding art and tropical plants, also refurbishing the sofa and dining set.
Farah Khan couldn’t believe her eyes when she exclaimed, “I can’t afford real art, so I put my kids’ art. Gauri Khan interjected, “I will give you my art.” Farah exclaimed, “My children’s art can go to hell, I’m getting Gauri’s expensive art.”
After seeing Gauri’s space and being impress by her skills, Farah remark, “I was living in Lokhandwala, also now I am living in Italy.”
After their friendship, Farah Khan praised Gauri Khan for remaining true to her roots despite the family’s success. “Despite all the success, money, and people fawning over you, she has remained a middle-class Punjabi girl to date.”
