Cocktail 2 Cast Salaries: Shahid Kapoor Earns Double Than His Co-Stars

Bollywood’s most anticipated film of 2026, Cocktail 2, is making headlines not just for its star-studded cast but also for the hefty paycheques its lead actors are reportedly taking home. Directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Maddock Films, the spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit brings together Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna in a fresh, emotionally charged story.

Shahid Kapoor Commands Top Billing

As the senior-most actor of the trio, Shahid Kapoor is reportedly the highest-paid cast member, earning a fee of Rs 35 crore for the film. His co-stars Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, who play the roles of Ally and Diya respectively, are each taking home Rs 15 crore — less than half of Kapoor’s remuneration. The pay gap reflects the actors’ individual market standings in the current Bollywood landscape.

Not a Sequel, But a Spiritual Successor

Kriti Sanon, who reunites with Shahid after their 2024 outing Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, clarified at the Times Now Summit 2026 that Cocktail 2 is neither a remake nor a direct sequel. “It’s a franchise,” she said, describing it as carrying a similar vibe to the original while featuring entirely new characters and storylines. The film blends romance, friendship, drama, and music set across vibrant locations.

Three songs — Jab Talak, Mashooqa, and Tujhko — have already been released to build buzz ahead of the film. The trailer is expected in the first week of June. Cocktail 2 hits theatres on June 19, 2026.
