Dropped Suryakumar Yadav’s Marathon Net Session Goes Viral

Former India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav is showing no signs of easing up despite his recent axing from the national squad. A video of the batter grinding through an intense practice session at the Vasoo Paranjape Cricket Academy has taken social media by storm, surfacing just hours after India wrapped up a 3-0 T20I series sweep of Zimbabwe. In the clip, Suryakumar is seen sprinting and batting for hours, with the player himself noting in his caption that he faced roughly a thousand deliveries over a three-hour stretch and came away feeling good about his effort.

Under newly appointed captain Iyer, India were beaten 0-4 in a five-match T20I series in England, having already suffered a first-ever bilateral T20I series defeat to Ireland earlier in the year. Against that backdrop, Suryakumar’s disciplined return to the nets signals his intent to force his way back into contention.
