In her VP acceptance speech at the Democratic
Party’s National Convention which was attended by Barrack Obama, Hillary
Clinton, Kamala Harris slammed Donald Trump for his mishandling of the
coronavirus pandemic.
On Thursday, Senator Kamala
Harris made history by becoming the first black-Asian woman to be nominated for
the post of Vice President of the United States at the Democratic
party’s National Convention.
Harris has officially joined the party’s presidential ticket along with US
Presidential candidate of Democratic Party, Joe Biden. Enlightening her vision in the most important
speech of her political career to date, the former California Attorney General
described America as a beloved community, where all are welcome, and formally
accepted the VP nomination. The star-studded event was attended by former US
President Barack Obama, and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton.
Kamala Harris lauds women who
fought for equality:
At the beginning of her speech, Harris paid tribute to the suffragettes who fought for women’s equality and the right to vote; she said” I am here tonight, which is a testament to the dedication of generations before me. Women and men who believed so fiercely in the promise of equality, liberty, and justice for all.” Harris also lauded her mother and her hard work by stating that she raised her as a proud, strong black woman, and also educated her about her proud Indian heritage.

Trump over mishandling the COVID-19 pandemic:
Kamala Harris slammed US
President Donald Trump for his mishandling of the Coronavirus
pandemic, which has made America, the worst-affected COVID-19 nation. Harris
said, “Right now we have a president who turns our tragedies into political
weapons. Joe will be a president who turns our challenges into purpose.”
Harris furthered alleged that the number of black, Latino people were falling
prey to the virus more than the white people was the effect of structural
racism. Harris said that to change this, Americans must come together and vote
for Joe Biden.
