Jadeja Picks Dhoni, Not Kohli, To Bat For His Life

Ravindra Jadeja has named MS Dhoni as the batter he would choose to bat for his life, skipping over Virat Kohli despite having shared the dressing room with some of cricket’s greatest names. The all-rounder made the pick during a video shared by Rajasthan Royals on social media, answering without hesitation when asked the question.

A Career Built Alongside Legends

Jadeja made his international debut in February 2009, riding the momentum of a strong IPL 2008 season with Rajasthan Royals. Over the following 17-plus years, he has represented India across all three formats and played alongside stalwarts such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman and Rohit Sharma. His IPL journey has also put him in the company of international stars including Shane Warne, Ben Stokes, Brendon McCullum and Faf du Plessis.

The Dhoni Connection

Among all these names, it is Dhoni with whom Jadeja shares a particularly close bond. The two have worked together for years at Chennai Super Kings, where Jadeja has served as Dhoni’s deputy, and the pair have also been teammates for India across formats. That long partnership appears to have shaped Jadeja’s instinctive choice.
