Twitter logo changed by Musk, ‘Blue Bird’ replaced by ‘X’
The social media app boss has revealed the new Twitter logo, starring a white X on a black background, which will replace its blue bird.
In a tweet on Monday morning, Linda Yaccarino unveiled, “X is here! Let’s do this.”

“Tweets” will even be replaced, according to Twitter’s boss Elon Musk, and tweets will be called “x’s”. The billionaire changed his profile photo to the new logo and wrote “X.com” to his Twitter bio.
Mr Musk wants to make a “super app” called “X” – his imagination for a new kind of social media site that he has been talking about making for months.
On Sunday, the businessman said he wanted to change Twitter’s logo, tweeting: “And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.”
He then posted a photo of the new X branding projected onto the side of the Twitter office in San Francisco.
Mr Musk, who has changed the firm’s name to X Corp, said the replacement “should have been done a long time ago”.
Mr Musk shared a picture of a flickering “X” on Twitter, and subsequently, in a Twitter Spaces audio chat, answered “Yes” when asked if the Twitter logo would change. Ms Yaccarino tweeted on the platform that rebranding was an exhilarating new opportunity.
“Twitter made one massive impression and changed how we communicate,” she stated. “Now, X will go further, transforming the global town square.”
The bird is named Larry, which Twitter’s co-founder Biz Stone said in 2011, is a tribute to basketball legend and Boston Celtics star Larry Bird.
