The cops have arrested a female doctor for selling newborns in Ulhasnagar, Thane. A social activist depicted as a mom met the doctor three months back looking for a son, but the doctor couldn’t arrange one immediately.
Nevertheless, a few days back, the doctor called the lady and said she could procure a boy against cash of Rs 7 lakh. The doctor was detained red-handed while selling the baby.
Social activists had received a hint regarding Dr Chitra Chainani being involved in the baby-selling business and decided to reveal her. Her hospital is at Meena Apartment, Bhagat Singh Kawa Ram Chowk of Camp Number 3 in Ulhasnagar.

The racket of selling infants began at this clinic some time back. While locals knew of this racket for many years, they required more courage to raise their voices.
Yet, social activist Sania Hinduja got news about the business and sent a lady, Jyoti More, as a dummy customer to Dr Chainani. More told the doctor she had two female kids and wanted a son.
But, even after working on all sides for three months, activists could not seal the deal. Two days back, Dr Chainani phoned More regarding a 22-day-old boy.
More instantly notified Hinduja, who alerted the Women Child Welfare Department and Crime Branch of Thane police. The units immediately ran to Ulhasnagar and detained Dr Chainani red-handed.
