Here are some simple ways to prevent lint from sticking to your clothes

Lint is the term used for the tiny threads of fabric shed from the borders of clothes, usually when you clean them in a washing machine.

These threads stick to the surfaces of other garments and make them so that they don’t look spotless, even directly after being cleaned.

Fabrics made of natural threads like wool and cotton cause more lint than fabric made from artificial materials, and several washing machines might be more likely to form it issues than others.

How to control lint on clothes:

Clean both your washer and drier filters before they’re complete:

Letting the lose lint filter out of the washing machine drum is essential to prevent lint from sticking to your clothes during a wash. This will help avoid any unnecessary fluff from floating around and sticking to your favourite garments.

If you don’t regularly clean the washing machine filter, the fluff can accumulate and prevent it from being filtered out of the drum during a wash cycle. This can cause the fluff to circulate with your clean clothes. Furthermore, a blocked filter can pose a fire hazard by causing the machine to overheat.

Separate clothes based on colours:

Separating garments into coloured sets will further decrease the visibility of lint on your clothes. The hack is that even if it sticks to your clothes, splitting from one item and sticking to another, it should be around the same colour as the item it adheres to and, thus, much less visual.

Wash high-lint clothes on a gentle cycle:

Soaking shedding clothes on a more delicate cycle means the fabric’s threads will be bothered less, relieving less lint.

Wash less often:

Determine if there are shedding clothes you can afford to clean less frequently. This even means their threads will be bothered less, and you’ll likely find that washing your clothes less helps maintain them.

If you’ve sported a jumper over a shirt, you might not necessarily require to wash it, and it can save a bunch of clothes from being wrapped in lint.

Deep-clean your washing machine with vinegar:

Fluff in washing devices can even be driven by lint build-up in parts of the washing appliance other than the filter. Running your washing appliance on an empty process with a portion of white vinegar or washing machine cleaner will clear lint from every area of the washing machine.
