The Center on Wednesday asked the states and the Union domains to report Mucormycosis, ordinarily known as the ‘dark organism’s illness, as a notifiable infection under the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897.
In a letter to the states and the Union regions, Lav Agarwal, the joint secretary of the Union wellbeing and family government assistance, said all administration run and private medical services offices and should follow the rules given by the Center and the ICMR for screening, finding and the board of Mucormycosis.
