Rahul Gandhi US Tour, faces Go back to India slogans

Rahul Gandhi, who is now on a six-day visit to the United States that will take him to three cities, got mixed emotions from the crowd as he prepared to address the Indian-American diaspora in New York.

A video showed Khalistan fanatics chanting “go back slogans” for Congress leaders, while other guests, including youngsters, expressed their pride by holding the Tricolour and excitedly awaiting Rahul’s arrival.

During a press conference, a man stood alongside a picture of Rahul Gandhi and expressed respect for his 145-day foot trip from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. He applauded his efforts, noting that he is making “positive contributions to the nation.”

In his most recent address, the disqualified Lok Sabha MP continued attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that the BJP and RSS are “incapable of looking to the future” and can only talk about the past.

Gandhi said at a gathering of the Indian diaspora in New York’s Javits Centre, “He (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) is trying to drive the car…He looks in the rearview mirror of the Indian automobile.

Then he wonders why this car is crashing rather than moving forward. The same is true for the BJP and the RSS. They’re all of them. You listen to the ministers and the Prime Minister. You will never hear them discuss the future. They just discuss the past.”

Gandhi also urged Indians in the United States and home to defend democracy and the Indian constitution. “Modern India cannot exist without our constitution and democracy,” he remarked late Sunday.

He also advocated for a greater alliance between India and the United States to counteract China’s influence.
