U.S. Open Dominic Thiem beats Alexander Zvereve to lift Maiden Grand slam Tittle.

Dominic Thiem says he has devoted his entire life to winning a Grand Slam title and his success in the United States.

Thiem had lost his previous Grand Slam finals three-time — once to Novak Djokovic in Australia and two to Rafa Nadal at the French Open — and appeared as though he had squandered yet another opportunity when Alexander Zverev took the first two sets in New York.

But the Austrian has orchestrated a spectacular comeback to win 2-6 4-6 6-4 6-3 7-6(6) in a nerve-jangling war of wills and will now head with renewed confidence to the French Open.
