Regal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli had only promised and positive words for his colleague Devdutt Padikkal, who punched his lady IPL century on Thursday. Padikkal and Kohli sewed an unbeaten 181-run association as RCB gunned down the 178-run target set by Rajasthan Royals in Match 16 of IPL 2021 in Mumbai. 

Kohli said that watching Padikkal, who scored more than 400 runs a year ago in his lady IPL season, he had the best seat in the house and the rate at which he was scoring runs restricted his batting to another calmer job. 

“It was a remarkable innings; he batted truly well for his first season last time also. Piece of a discussion about speeding up after 40-50, this was the ideal approach to settle it. Incredible ability, extraordinary one to glance forward later on. I had the best seat in the house,” Kohli said during the post-match show service. 

“I think T20 is about association batting. You can’t generally be the person going predominant. When one person goes, it’s significant for me to turn strike and the other way around. This evening my job was unique, and I needed to keep it together. In the end, I picked my spots; the pitch was acceptable.” 

Kohli himself hit 50 years and stayed not out on 72 off 47 balls and, in the process, turned into the principal major part throughout the entire existence of IPL to score 6000 runs.
