The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has captured an associate sub-inspector of the Border Security Force (BSF) from Jammu and Kashmir’s Handwara for purportedly helping cross-line drug dealers related with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), individuals acquainted with the matter said. 

Romesh Kumar, the second security person to get arrested:

Romesh Kumar is the second security individual to be captured in Jammu and Kashmir since January 2020 for supposedly helping fear mongers. 

The NIA prior captured appointee police administrator Davinder Singh for aiding HM fear mongers. He has since been charge-sheeted and excused from the administration.

As NIA in there statement in December stated:
