Pakistan back to 18th century, huge power cuts makes life difficult

According to ARY News, a high tension (HT) transmission cable tripped due to a technical issue, leaving several parts of Pakistan’s Karachi without power for a long period of time.

As per the report, the high tension (HT) transmission line tripped, leaving roughly 40% of Karachi in the dark. This led to numerous grid stations tripping, and it continued.

According to the study, the impacted regions were Numaish Chowrangi, Saddar, Lines Area, Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Punjab Colony, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, and Korangi.

The utility company in charge of the city’s electricity supply, K-Electric, has not issued a statement.
