Among urban communities, Indore and Surat were declared joint champs. Among Union Territories, Chandigarh was positioned first.
The honours were declared on Friday to celebrate six years of the three metropolitan groundbreaking missions of the Central government – Smart Cities Mission (SCM), Atal Mission for Urban Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U), which Prime Minister Narendra Modi dispatched on 25, 2015.
