The public appearances of Sagarika Ghatge always attract the audience’s attention due to their classic style and minimalistic outfits.
Her graceful behavior often makes fashion connoisseurs talk. It seems that the actress is ready to reveal whatever makes her fashionable. Ghatge started his first label – Akutee – as an entrepreneur and started a company with several sarees and salwar kurta collections. The pieces in the exhibition reflect a past that has been captured in time.
The theme of the collection is classic elegance and inspired by the women in their families.
My first collection was something very special to me because it was prepared and made by my mother. Who was my source from inspiration for Akut. Some parts are hand-paint by him, which makes it a unique work of art. He designs most of the motifs for screen printing, giving each garment a stamp of artistic elegance.
“Sagarika Ghatge saw the project in collaboration with his mother, Urmila Gate, to whom he dedicated the label. She added: “A girl’s role models are often the women in her family as they grow up. Pay attention unconsciously. The elderly witnesses in the family are beautifully dress for the ceremony. Dressed in traditional fabrics or brocades paired with diamonds and pearls, they define a vision of surreal elegance. Influenced by such eternal balance, I cant wait to grow and become like him. “”
The Ghatge is relate to the Kagal royal family, and its roots can be trace back to Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur.
On the one hand, their pursuit is a way of preserving their rich cultural heritage. On the other hand, with the country’s social order leaning towards modernity, Ghatge has always believed that healthy development includes sticking to your roots and family tree.
Inspired by the rich artistic heritage of her own family, Ghatge hopes to make saris more accessible to modern women. Her mother’s designs reflect the ornate look of traditional fabrics but convey a certain simplicity and freshness. The company’s bigger vision is to nurture a community of weavers who struggle to gain a foothold after the pandemic.
Ghatge believes the label will be watching to support new talent to continue our artistic line of fabrics. She explains, “To contincontemporarythe legacy, I want to encourage new artists and artists in the creative world whose talent speaks through all of Akutee’s outfits. I hope this collection will be appreciat by everything that adorns Akute’s work, be it casual or party wear, where they reflect true beautthe y and feel a part of that elegance.”
