Day one box office collection for Antim The Final Truth: The Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma starrer grossed around 4.25-4.5 crore on Friday.
Antim: The Final Truth, starring Salman Khan and his real-life brother-in-law Aayush Sharma. As arch-rivals, was released in theatres on Friday. According to early estimates, the film received positive reviews and grossed around 4.25-4.5 crore on its opening day.
Antim: The Final Truth was released a day after John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate 2 in theatres on Thursday.
John’s film received mixed reviews upon its initial release.
According to Boxofficeindia.com, “Antim: The Final Truth collected in the range of 4.25-4.50 crore nett. Which is a reasonable collection if the film can get some solid growth on Saturday.” However, the report went on to say, “Antim: The Final Truth has affected the collections of Satyameva Jayate 2. Which was expect, and the film is down 40-50 percent with huge falls at bigger multiplexes.”
Antim stars both Aayush and Salman but has been marketed primarily as a Salman Khan vehicle. However, according to the Hindustan Times review. What stands out in the film is Aayush Sharma’s transformation with a well-sculpted body.”
Following a promising debut with Loveyatri, Aayush has worked hard to get into the skin of this ruthless. And lethal goon that anyone would despise with a vengeance. He instills rage in you and makes you want to hate him. But there are shades of Rahul’s character that elicit empathy as well. He doesn’t hide behind Salman’s shadow, but instead confronts him with his body language and on-point expressions in the film.”
Mahesh Manjrekar, an actor and filmmaker, directed Antim. Mahima Makwana, a television actor who rose to prominence with the 2012 TV show Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, also appears. She has also appeared on Balika Vadhu and Miley Jab Hum Tum.
