First Test India vs England: Pant and Pujara played good knocks, but England hold the advantage in the first test in Chennai.
After England getting all out for 578runs India started poorly as Rohit Sharma got out pocking ball outside off stump in archer overs. Gill looked outstanding, but he was unlucky as veteran Anderson took a fantastic catch in Archer’s bowling.
After openers got out Kohli too got out in the bowling of off-spinner Dominic Bess who took four crucial wickets and put India in trouble with Archer.
Archer was outstanding in his first spell. Pace good line length troubled batsman a lot. Anderson remained wicketless.
Pant played a fabulous knock of 91runs but gave away his wicket in the bowling of Bess. He has the problem of over hit the bowl and once again that lad the downfall of his wicket. Pujara was unlucky he was looking strong and set to score a big hundred, but he took good out on 71runs.
Sundar and Ashvin on the pitch. Sundar is looking strong, but still, both have to climb Everest, and this time it is looking tough as a pitch to is show tricks. We show bowl started to spin and we might see the horror of follow on. Yes, India might face follow-on issue if Sundar and Ashvin fail to take partnership for long.
Surely it was lack of temperament from Kohli, Sharma which put India in trouble. Also, poor team selection why Nadeem in the team and we have Kuldeep is waiting in bench. Do Shastri and Kohli think Nadeem will bat? Well if this is the thought, then it is a poor thought for sure.
